Mr
 Cameron will face his last Prime Minister's Questions in the Commons, 
before heading to Buckingham Palace to tender his resignation to the 
Queen.<br />
He told the Daily Telegraph: "As I leave today, I hope that people will see a stronger country. It has been a privilege to serve the country I love."<br />
After taking office, Mrs May will set about naming her own frontbench team.<br />

The current home secretary, 59, was the only remaining candidate
 in the Conservative leadership contest following Andrea Leadsom's 
withdrawal on Monday.<br />
The contest began when Mr Cameron, who has been prime minister since 
2010, announced he would step down after losing the EU referendum in 
June.<br />
Mr Cameron told the Telegraph: "I came into Downing Street 
to confront our problems as a country and lead people through difficult 
decisions so that together we could reach better times.<br />
"As I leave today, I hope that people will see a stronger country, a thriving economy, and more chances to get on in life."<br />
<br />
At midday Mr Cameron, who has said he plans to continue as MP for 
Witney in Oxfordshire, will face Prime Minister's Questions for the 
182nd and final time as PM - his 319th in total as Tory leader.<br />
Later,
 after the PM has tendered his resignation to the Queen, Mrs May will 
have her own visit to Buckingham Palace, when she will accept the 
monarch's offer to form a new government.<br />
She will return to No 10 as the country's second female prime minister, following in the footsteps of Margaret Thatcher.<br />

President Barack Obama has urged the
 US to "reject despair" as he paid tribute to five police officers 
killed by a gunman in Dallas.</div>
He told a memorial service in the city the US must "try to find some meaning amidst our sorrow" and could unite.<br />
His trip came amid mounting racial tensions across the country.<br />
Micah
 Johnson killed the Dallas officers at a protest held over the recent 
police shootings of African-Americans in Minnesota and Louisiana.<br />
Before he was killed by police, he said he was angry about the shootings.<br />
Meanwhile, protests over excessive police force against black Americans have been held in cities across the US. <br />
But speaking at Morton H Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas on Tuesday, Mr Obama urged the country not to despair.<br />
Americans
 were struggling with what had happened in the past week, he said, and 
events appeared to have revealed "the deepest fault line of our 
democracy".<br />
                                                                                                    "I'm here to say we must reject such despair. I'm here to insist that we are not as divided as we seem."<br />
He
 honoured the bravery of police officers and said fewer people were 
being mourned at the service because of the courage of the officers

The service featured five portraits of the officers and five empty chairs.<br />
Ex-President George W Bush, a former Texas governor, praised the police: "Their courage is our protection and shield."<br />
And Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, who spoke first, said: "The soul of our city was pierced."<br />

 Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, will 
also hold a private meeting with the families of the victims on 
Wednesday.<br />
The US has been on edge in the wake of the recent string of violence, roiled by protests over police reform and race relations. <br />
And
 Mr Obama has been criticised for not doing enough to support the 
police, many of whom say they feel under attack because of the protests 
and criticism.<br />

A senior Chinese official has said 
China has the right to set up an air defence zone over territory it 
claims in the South China Sea.</div>
The statement from Vice-Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin comes a day after an international tribunal said there was no legal basis for China's claims.<br />
China has overlapping claims with other countries to reefs and islands across almost all of the South China Sea.<br />
It has already said it will ignore the tribunal's findings.<br />

 Xi Jinping has said China's "territorial sovereignty and marine rights"
 in the seas will not be affected by the ruling "in any way".<br />

                                                                                                    The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague on Tuesday ruled against China in a case brought by the Philippines.<br />
It
 said China had violated the Philippines' sovereign rights and had 
caused "severe harm to the coral reef environment" by building 
artificial islands.<br />
In government paper on the tribunal's findings which was released on 
Wednesday, China reiterated its claims over the land and maritime 
territory.<br />
Introducing the paper, Mr Liu told reporters that China
 would establish an Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) over the 
South China Sea "if our security is being threatened".<br />
China set up an ADIZ over similarly disputed territory in the East China Sea in 2013, requiring all aircraft passing through it to follow certain rules, file flight plans and identify themselves.<br />
"Whether we need to set one up in the South China Sea depends on the level of threat we receive," said Mr Liu.<br />
He
 said he hoped all countries would "work with China to protect the peace
 and stability of the South China Sea, and not let the South China Sea 
become the origin of a war".<br />
The ruling is binding but the Permanent Court of Arbitration has no powers of enforcement.<br />

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum has asked people not to play Pokemon Go on their phones during their visit. </div>
A
 spokesman for the museum in Washington said that playing the game 
inside a memorial to victims of Nazism was "extremely inappropriate".<br />
The Arlington National Cemetery, just three miles away from the museum, has also warned off Pokemon players.<br />
Both locations feature in the new smartphone game, which has become a commercial and cultural phenomenon.<br />
Pokemon Go allows players to search locations in the real world to find Pokemon creatures.<br />
It
 topped the app store download chart on both iPhone's App Store and 
Google Play just days after its release in the US, Australia and New 
Zealand.<br />

Like many other landmarks, both the museum in Washington and the
 military cemetery in Virginia are places where players can come across 
Pokemon creatures.<br />
They are both reportedly also Pokestops, where 
players can collect virtual items like snacks and medicine for Pokemon, 
but officials at the museum are trying to get it removed from the game.<br />
And the cemetery has also made its move to address the new craze.<br />
"Playing
 games such as Pokemon Go on these hallowed grounds would not be deemed 
appropriate," cemetery officials said in a statement.<br />
Spokesman Stephen Smith said they had not experienced any problems yet but wanted to act before they potentially arose.<br />
It
 would be hard to know whether someone was playing the game on their 
phone or using the cemetery's own app to find their way round.<br />
There
 has been no response yet from game developers Niantic Labs on whether 
it could stop Pokemon creatures from appearing inside the Holocaust 
Museum.<br />

Golfer Siddikur 
Rahman has become Bangladesh's first athlete to qualify for Olympics 
after finishing 56th in the final eligibility rankings for the Rio 
Games.<br />
<span id="midArticle_0"></span>Bangladesh has been 
given four wild card spots for next month's Games so far, with swimmers 
Mahfizur Rahman Sagor and Sonia Akter Tumpa, archer Shyamoly Roy and 
shooter Abdullahel Baki set to represent their country in Rio.<br />
<span id="midArticle_1"></span>The
 International Golf Federation published the final Olympic rankings on 
its website on Monday, with Rahman's position enough to qualify for Rio 
when golf makes it return to the Games for the first time since 1904.<br />
<span id="midArticle_2"></span>"This is a great honour for me as well as for the game of golf," the two-time Asian Tour winner told local media.<br />

        <span class="first-article-divide"></span>"I believe no other
 sportsman from the country ever took part in the Olympic Games through 
qualification before this. So I am honoured and glad that I will be 
representing my country through the game I play in Rio de Janeiro.<br />

        <span class="second-article-divide"></span>"I have already booked a ticket for Rio and hopefully I will be able to make my country proud in the golf event."<br />
<span id="midArticle_5"></span>The
 31-year-old dropped down the rankings in April but worked his way back 
into contention for the Games by finishing second in the Afr-Asia 
Mauritius Open a month later.<br />
